Plaintiff was a guest in defendant’s hotel. In the evening, while seated in the lobby with her husband, she desired to go to a toilet and started for their room. Her husband inquired of the hotel clerk whether -there was a ladies’ toilet on the lobby floor. Plaintiff saw the clerk, in response to her husband’s inquiry, point to the ladies lounge just off the lobby, the entrance to which was covered with drapes. She pushed the drapes open and walked' into the lounge, which was not lighted at the time. Light shining in from the lobby enabled her to distinguish a door bearing a plate inscribed…
