BRIGHT, Circuit Judge.

Albert Pecherski, an employee of General Motors, brought this action in Missouri state court against General Motors and its employee denominated as “Jane Doe,” a person whose actual identity was unknown, to recover for injuries allegedly caused by negligent medical treatment in a General Motors plant dispensary.
