This is in response to your request for an opinion on two questions concerning the City Court of Magazine, Arkansas and the Municipal Court held in Booneville. Specifically, you have noted that the City of Magazine has a city court, but that additionally, the people of Magazine help elect a municipal judge "who has jurisdiction over South Logan County", including the cities of Booneville, Magazine, and Blue Mountain.
