This patent infringement suit was brought by American Standard Inc. (“American Standard”) against Pfizer Inc. (“Pfizer”) and Howmedica, Inc. (“Howmed-ica”). Docket Item (“D.I.”) 27. American Standard charges Pfizer with willful and literal infringement of United States Letters Patent No. 3,605,123 (“the ’123 Patent”) and seeks damages, treble damages and attorneys’ fees pursuant to 35 U.S.C. §§ 284, 285.
