This is an action in equity, to partition about 900 acres of land situated in Iowa in the counties of Kossuth, Humboldt, Webster and Pocahontas, formerly owned by David K. Jackman, who died testate on July 16, 1877, a citizen of the state of New Hampshire. The will was executed' in that state May 30, 1873. The will of the widow, Seraphina.

The answer of defendants claims that Mrs. Jackman, the widow, took a life estate only, and that the-remainder went to the devisees in the will of David K. Jackman.
