Now pending in this multidistrict patent litigation is defendants’1 motion to stay pending completion of a reexamination proceeding for the patent-in-suit, United States Patent No. 5,251,294, “Accessing, Assembling, and Using Bodies of Information” (the “ '294 patent”), before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (“PTO”). Plaintiffs Webvention LLC and Webvention Group LLC (collectively, “Webvention”) have filed a response in opposition to the motion to stay, and defendants have filed a reply.
