The plaintiff, Herbert H. Meyer, is the owner of a certain eight-apartment dwelling located on St. Charles Avenue in the City of New Orleans. The defendant, B.C. McClellan, was a tenant in the building occupying apartment "G" under verbal lease from month to month.
