CALLAHAN, J.

This is an appeal from a judgment of the trial court granting the motion by the named defendant, Edward J. Peters, Jr., P.C.,1 to strike the first count of the plaintiffs’ complaint on the ground of qualified immunity. The question presented by the appeal is whether a committee appointed by a court to conduct a foreclosure sale is entitled to qualified immunity for negligently identifying certain real estate *625as being part of the property included in the sale. We answer that question in the negative.
