John Anderson, a resident of Taylor county, Iowa, was the owner in fee of 80 acres of land in Ringgold county. On the 14th day of November, 1925, in order to pay off a mortgage on some other land, he executed a note for $4,000, secured by mortgage on the 80 acres, payable to Taylor County State Bank, Clearfield, Iowa. This note was payable at the office of the Northern Trust Company, Chicago, 111., and both the note and the mortgage were signed by Anderson’s wife, Belle M. Anderson.
