INTRODUCTION
Daniel Hawkins and Julius Ballard (plaintiffs), employees of the City of Omaha (the City), brought an action against the City claiming they were improperly classified under the job classification “City Maintenance Foreman I” (CMF I). Plaintiffs asserted that they were performing the duties of job classification “City Maintenance Foreman II” (CMF II) and were entitled to compensation appropriate for that job classification.
