Defendant was convicted of the crime of forgery. He moved for a new trial, his motion was overruled, and he was sentenced to ten years’ imprisonment. He appeals from the judgment and from the order denying his motion for a new trial. The facts, touching the points raised on the appeal, were: That the defendant procured one Robert Colthrop to sign the name “John Sullivan” to a deed to certain real property, in which John Sullivan was named as grantor and J.
