Plaintiff Benoit Brookens worked as an economist for the Department of Labor ("DOL," sued in this case through Defendant, the Secretary of Labor, in his official capacity). Brookens claims that DOL unlawfully terminated him, alleging that his firing amounted to age- and race-based discrimination and retaliation for his union activity.
