MEMORANDUM OPINION
SEAN J. McLAUGHLIN, District Judge.
This civil action involves allegations by the Plaintiff, Joseph E. Hudak, that Defendants, Times News Publishing Company, Inc., t/d/b/a/ Erie Times-News (hereinafter the “Times”) and two of its employees, reporter Lisa Thompson and editor Pat Howard, defamed him in connection with five separate stories that the Times ran in 2005 and 2006. Plaintiff, formerly a practicing attorney, became the subject of contempt proceedings in 2002 and 2003 before two different judges of the courts of common pleas in Pittsburgh and Erie.
