CIVIL PROCEDURE—MOTION TO DISMISS—SECTION 6-104(a) OF THE COURTS AND JUDICIAL PROCEEDINGS ARTICLE Section 6-104(a) of the Courts and Judicial Proceedings Article of the Maryland Code (1974, 2020 Repl. Vol.) permits a circuit court to dismiss an action if, “in the interests of substantial justice,” the action “should be heard in another forum.” In essence, section 6- 104(a) permits a Maryland court to dismiss an action if another State is another more convenient forum than Maryland.…
