The plaintiffs in error held a policy of fire insurance issued by the defendants in error, insuring a dwelling house to the amount of $500, and a barn to the amount of $1,000. During the life of the policy the barn was totally destroyed by fire.
The plaintiffs brought an action in the court of common pleas of this county against the defendants to recover the amount of insurance on the bam.
The insurance companies filed an answer containing several defenses, a jury was waived and the action submitted to the court, which resulted in a judgment in favor of the defendants. To reverse that judgment…
