Plaintiffs-Appellees (the “plaintiffs”), two former and one current female New Britain police officers, brought suit in the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut against the City of New Britain, its police department, the police union, and five individual police supervisors under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 42 U.S.C. § 2000e-2, 42 U.S.C. § 1983, and other federal and state laws.
