Dr. Cyril Wecht, an acclaimed forensic pathologist, was indicted on January 20, *1982006, for the crimes of theft of honest services, mail fraud, wire fraud, and theft from an organization receiving federal funds. The 84-count indictment asserts that he unlawfully used his public office as the coroner of Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, for private financial gain.
