GRAY, Circuit Judge.

A libel was filed in this case, in the district court, by the owner of the river steamboat “Sylvan Glen,” against .the steam ferryboat “Atlantic City,” to recover damages for a collision which occurred August 18, 1896, at about 11 o’clock at night, between the “Sylvan Glen,” which was bound up the'Delaware river, and the ferryboat “Atlantic City,” which was bound down, somewhere about mid-channel, opposite the city of Philadelphia.
