This was a prosecution against the appellant, upon affidavit and information, for the offence of grand larceny. The appellant’s motion to quash the affidavit and information was overruled by the court, and his exception saved to this ruling. Upon his arraignment and plea of not guilty, the issues joined were tried by a jury and a verdict was returned finding him guilty as charged, and assessing his punishment at confinement in the State’s prison for eighteen months, a fine in the sum of $40, and disfranchisement for two years.
