This was an action on the case brought by the appellee, John Curran, a minor, by his guardians and next friends, in the circuit court of Cook county to recover damages against the Chicago and Western Indiana Railroad Company, (hereafter called for convenience the Western Indiana,) the Belt Railway Company, the Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Chicago and St. Louis Railway’ Company, the Pennsylvania Company, and the Pittsburgh, Fort Wayne and Chicago Railway Company, (the last two hereafter called for convenience the Pennsylvania Lines.)
