CARLEY, Justice.
After a jury trial, Robert Smith was found guilty of malice murder, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. The trial court entered judgments of conviction and sentenced Smith to life imprisonment for the murder and two consecutive five-year terms for the weapons counts. A motion for new trial was denied, and he appeals.
