BENHAM, Justice.
Appellant Robert L. Williams was convicted in the Superior Court of Bibb County of the malice murder of Michael Malone and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. On appeal, he contests the sufficiency of the evidence, contends he was denied his constitutional rights to a speedy trial and to effective assistance of counsel, and maintains the trial court erred when it admitted photographs of the deceased victim and when it refused to honor the deliberating jury’s request to rehear certain testimony.
