On October 19, 1935, Sarah E. Long filed an action against Aman da Smith for services for work and labor under an oral contract to be performed in caring for the said Amanda Smith, an elderly woman.

The parties will be referred to as plaintiff and defendant, as they appeared in the trial court. Judgment was for the plaintiff after a verdict of the jury in the sum of $1,800.

It is alleged that on or about the 1st day of August, 1925, Amanda Smith requested the plaintiff to come to the defendant’s home and do certain work and labor each and every day. The nature of the services is alleged to be…
