CALHOUN, Judge.
The offense, murder; the punishment, two years in the penitentiary.
The facts in brief are as follows: The appellant and deceased were neighbors and had known each other for some years. Several years prior to the homicide the appellant had purchased a tract of land from the deceased in Lamar county, the consideration being $500 cash, with the remainder in vendor lien notes. The land was afterwards turned back to the deceased by appellant and there seems to have grown up, at least on the part of the deceased, some ill feeling towards the appellant by reason thereof, and appellant…
