Mason, J.:

The board of county commissioners of Wyandotte county has undertaken to reconstruct a bridge in accordance with statutory authority. It has let a contract for the work and is about to issue bonds to provide means of payment. These bonds have been presented to the state auditor for registration. Believing their issuance to have been irregular he has refused to register them, and the board asks a writ of mandamus requiring him to do so.
