The principal issue in this appeal is whether the defendant, a psychiatrist, hired to evaluate *551two children to determine whether they had been sexually abused, owed a duty of care to the plaintiff, the father of the children and the suspected abuser, arising out of the defendant’s conduct in performing the evaluation.
