— Real party in interest Newport-Mesa Unified School District (School District) denied petitioner John Caldecott’s (Caldecott) request to produce certain documents made pursuant to the California Public Records Act (CPRA; Gov. Code, § 6250 et seq.; all further statutory references are to this code unless otherwise stated). Caldecott then filed a petition for writ of mandate in the superior court.
