Defendant entered pleas of guilty to charges of armed robbery anti aggravated battery arising out of the stabbing and robbery of Emanuel Dean on February 13, 1971, in violation of sections 18 — 2, 12 — 4 and 12 — 4(b — 1) of the Criminal Code. (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1969, ch. 38, pars. 18 — 2, 12 — 4, and 12 — 4(b — 1).) On December 7, 1971, he was sentenced to probation for 5 years with the first 4 months to be served in the Cook County jail.
