OPINION

LARSEN, Justice.

This is an appeal from a jury verdict in favor of the plaintiff employee on his workers’ compensation claims. We affirm.

FACTS

Appellee Inez Rodriguez injured his low back and left knee on August 6, 1991 while working as a general laborer at the Asarco plant in El Paso, Texas. Rodriguez saw Dr. Mario Palafox, who examined him and assigned him a 31 percent impairment rating for purposes of his workers’ compensation claim.
