MEMORANDUM AND ORDER

This matter comes before the court on defendant, Metropolitan Life Insurance *430Company’s motion for summary judgment [ECF No. 14] and plaintiffs cross-motion for summary judgment [ECF No. 15]. Plaintiff, Timothy S. Menes, has asserted claims for relief under 29 U.S.C. § 1132(a)(1)(B). For the reasons set forth below, defendant’s motion for summary judgment will be GRANTED and plaintiffs cross-motion for summary judgment will be DENIED.
