Appeal from the Circuit Court of Jo Daviess county; the Hon. Benjamin B. Sheldon, Judge, presiding. This was an action of replevin brought in the court below by Harrison Bell against William Farrar, sheriff of Jo Daviess county, to recover 854 sacks of oats, marked “ H. B.” Among other pleas, the defendant pleaded property in Bobert H. McClellan, as president of the Bank of Galena, and property in the Bank of Galena.
