In this certified appeal, the defendant, Justiniano Torres, appeals from the judgment of the Appellate Court affirming his conviction of possession of marijuana with the intent to sell in violation of General Statutes § 21a-277 (b),1 and possession with the intent to use drug paraphernalia in violation of General Statutes § 21a-267 (a).2 Following the trial court’s denial of his motion to suppress, the defendant entered a conditional plea of nolo contendere, pursuant to General Statutes § 54-94a, to the two offenses.
