VANCE, Justice.
This is an appeal from a conviction for the offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 1, in an amount over one gram. A jury determined that Dale Arthur Wolf (Wolf) had possessed *8003,4-Methylenedioxy Methamphetamine, also known as MDA or ecstasy, and assessed punishment, which the court imposed, of ten years’ confinement at the Texas Department of Criminal Justice— Institutional Division.
