Following a bench trial in the circuit court of Cook County, defendant was found guilty of possession of a stolen motor vehicle (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1987, ch. 951/2, par. 4 — 103(a)(1)) and sentenced to 30 months’ probation. In this appeal, defendant contends that his conviction must be reversed because the State failed to prove that the car allegedly in his possession was the one set forth in the indictment.
