Appeal by the defendant from a judgment of the Supreme Court, Kings County (Feldman, J.), rendered May 9, 2000, convicting him of murder in the second degree, upon a jury verdict, and imposing sentence.

Ordered that the judgment is affirmed.

Contrary to the defendant’s contention on appeal, the waiver of his right to be present during sidebar discussions with prospective jurors was knowing, voluntary, and intelligent (see People v Antommarchi, 80 NY2d 247).
