This is a taxpayer’s action, under section 51 of the General Municipal Law, to declare illegal, null and void a franchise issued by the City of New York to Knickerbocker Communications Corporation (Knickerbocker) to provide cable television service to the Borough of Queens and further, for an injunction to prevent any performance of the resulting contract.
