When reviewing jury instructions, an appellate court considers all the instructions together as a whole and does not isolate any one instruction. 2. A court need not give a voluntary intoxication instruction unless sufficient proof exists to establish intoxication to the extent of impairing the defendant's ability to form the requisite intent for the charged crime.
