Appellant Alonzo T. Boykins contends that he received an illegal sentence following his plea of guilty to possession with intent to distribute cocaine in violation of former D.C.Code § 33 — 541(a)(1). 1 The trial court imposed a sentence of twenty-seven years of imprisonment with five years of supervised release, and suspended all but three months of incarceration and two years of supervised release.
