DOYLE, Judge.

This is an appeal by Joseph Morra from an order of the Court of Common Pleas of Delaware County which denied his appeal of an order of the Department of Transportation (Department) reinstating a one-year suspension of his driver’s license.

On September 23, 1993, the Department mailed to Morra an official notice stating that his operating privilege was scheduled to he suspended for a period of one year as a result of his conviction under Section 3731 of the Vehicle Code, 75 Pa.C.S. § 3731 (“Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol or a Controlled Substance”).
