Kavlakian v. Pinette Group, LLC

After defendant Pinette Group, LLC ( “Pinette Group”) vacated a commercial space in Winchester, Massachusetts and stopped paying rent less than two years into a three-year lease, plaintiff Alexan Kavlakian, as trustee of the Berkshire Realty Trust (“Berkshire”), brought this action against Pinette Group, as well as its guarantor, defendant Angela R. Pinette (collectively, “Pinettes”), to recover the remaining rent due under the lease. The trial court awarded Berkshire $48,047.42 in damages upon summary judgment, and the Pinettes have appealed.
