The California Livestock Commission Company, a corporation, brought an action against James B. Button, superintendent of banks, to compel him to give a preferred status to its claim for the amount of a draft issued by the Yuma Valley Bank which at the time of its presentation for payment had gone into his hands for liquidation, and from an order denying this relief but allowing the claim as a general one it appeals.

On June 12, 1930, appellant, whose place of business was in Los Angeles, California, drew its draft on E. E. Crowder of Yuma, Arizona, for $5,000 and deposited it for collection…
