This suit, familiarly known as the Whiteside case, was. brought by the State of Texas, and involves a large area of valuable oil lands in Pecos County, Texas. As originally filed by Attorney General R. L. Bobbitt it was primarily a boundary suit, and involved 42 surveys of land in Block 194, G. C. & S. F. Ry. Co., as well as large areas of surrounding land. It was filed shortly after the judgment of the trial court for the State in the case of Douglas Oil Co. et al. v.
