COMPTON, Justice.

I. INTRODUCTION

Dana Kopanuk entered into a contract regarding home occupancy with the Association of Village Council Presidents Regional Housing Authority (AVCP RHA). Upon breach by Kopanuk, AVCP RHA initiated a forcible entry and detainer (FED) action in district court. Kopanuk challenged the district court’s subject matter jurisdiction, arguing that equitable interests were at issue.
