[699] The North American Company, -a New Jersey corporation, the relator in these prohibition proceedings, is seeking a determination of the question whether the long existing section of our statutes permitting the attachment of 'shares of stock in a Missouri corporation by serving -the writ on an official of the corporation at the office of the corporation was rendered ineffective by the adoption in 1943 of the Uniform Stock Transfer Act.
