GRUENDEL, J.

The petitioner, Nestor Quiroga, appeals from the judgment of the habeas court denying his amended petition for a writ of habeas corpus. That petition was predicated on the alleged ineffective assistance of his trial counsel regarding the immigration consequences of a guilty plea. Following an expedited trial, the habeas court concluded that the petitioner had not established any deficient performance on the part of his trial counsel.
