The defendant was charged under Kings County Indictment No. 6145/93 with the crimes of murder in the second degree, criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, and criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree. The defendant pleaded guilty to the crime of manslaughter in the first degree in full satisfaction of the indictment.
