OPINION
FAY, Chief Justice.
This case is before the court on a petition for certiorari. In granting certiorari this court will address the issue of whether a Family Court justice erred when he refused the plaintiff's petition to modify alimony payments, holding that a separation agreement previously entered into by the parties continued to be an existing valid contract that controlled the rights and obligations of the parties.
