—Order of the Su*367preme Court, New York County (Carol Berkman, J.), entered on July 24, 1990, which dismissed the indictment against defendant on the ground that the People were not ready for trial within the time period prescribed by CPL 30.30, is unanimously affirmed.

Defendant Melvin Cook was arrested on January 9, 1990 after a police officer recovered a crack pipe and 20 vials of crack from him.
