The question presented is whether *204defendants Greenberg and Smith, former directors and officers of American International Group, Inc. (AIG), are entitled to an order compelling AIG to produce documents reflecting the legal advice on the transactions at issue that the company received— and that Greenberg and Smith themselves, in their capacities as directors and officers, also received—during the time Greenberg and Smith served on AIG’s board.
