Plaintiff Westport Insurance Corporation (“Westport”) brought this action seeking a declaratory judgment that the liability insurance policy issued to Attorney Stephen T. Gionfriddo (“Gionfriddo”), effective from July 28, 2005 to September 22, 2005, is void ab initio. On May 21, 2007, default judgment was entered in favor of Westport against defendants Gion-friddo, Food Imports of Middletown Inc., John Carta, Linda Carta, Karen H. Grenier, and Nellie Walker.
